Japanese railways build special passageways for turtles so they could cross safely. It is a human invention, intelligent and beneficial for for turtles and trains.
Turtles cross the train tracks. Being slow, they cause sometimes train accidents, travel issues for passengers and they are crushed by fast-moving trains.
To avoid these problems, Japanese railroad companies built turtle tunnels made under the train tracks.
According to the Japan Times, there have been 13 incidents caused by turtles between 2002 and 2014.
A lot of turtles have been saved since the tunnels were installed.
